About Cumming, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Cumming, Georgia is a Forsyth County city that serves as the county seat. The population of this city was approximately 5,500 in 2010. However, communities with Cumming mailing addresses have a total population of nearly 100,000. The area that makes up Cumming was first inhabited by several tribes of Cherokee Indians, and it became a popular region in the U.S. when gold was discovered in Georgia in 1828. This community was incorporated in 1834 and named for Colonel William Cumming, a distinguished officer who fought during the War of 1812. Today, children in Cumming will earn their education with Forsyth County Schools.

Cumming is home to several attractions that allow visitors or residents to spend time in the great outdoors. During the hot summer months, families often enjoy spending the afternoon at Cumming Aquatic Center. Trails, camping, and picnicking can also be enjoyed at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve, Rainbow Ranch, or Mary Alice Park.

Other attractions are also available in Cumming. Stars and Strikes features a bowling alley, arcade, laser tag, and bumper cars for families with children to enjoy. The Cumming Playhouse is a former school that has since been transformed into a theater for the performing arts, featuring plays, concerts, and musicals. The Cummings Fairgrounds also hosts a variety of events during the summer, including the Forsyth County Fair and rodeos.

Cumming residents will want to have both heating and cooling systems in place in their homes, and they should ensure that these units are in proper working order before they need them. Summers are usually hot with high humidity, so an air conditioner can be used to keep homes comfortable. Winters are usually cool, and while snowfall is minimal, icy conditions and freezing temperatures may be present. A heat pump or furnace can keep residents safe while also preventing the pipe work in their homes from freezing.
